This session of Disarm Kōrero #11 will address the Review Conference on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the First Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. Both conferences were scheduled to be held early this year, however both have been postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Meanwhile, there is still plenty to discuss in the lead up to the events and the various dyanmics at play. Do join us for an interesting discussion, all welcome!

For this session of Disarm Kōrero #11 we will be discussing two very important international disarmament conferences: The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference (NPT RevCon), and the First Meeting of States' Parties for the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
We are delighted to be joined by two guest speakers, both NZ experts in the field of disarmament, Tessa Versteeg from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (International Security and Disarmament Division) and Tim Caughley, a former UN and NZ disarmament official. We'll be discussing what happened at the NPT RevCon, what the NZ Government worked on on and also looking towards the TPNW 1MSP and how plans are coming together for this first meeting of states.
Please tune in to join the discussion, or you're also welcome to just listen in. All welcome!
